Orange Rose

This lovely rose was blooming in Spokane's Manito Rose Garden. It's scent was a combination of orange and sugar and violet.

Wild Rose

Today on the Interurban Trail I ate some rose petals. They taste sweet, just like they smell. They are delicious candied--dip in whipped eggwhite and then coat with sugar. Dry and eat like candy.

Rogasa Rose

My sister said to me, I've seen this very special rose called the Ragosa Rose. And I said, oh, a nursery man suggested we plant those along the fenceline at our Indianola home. We made a fence of beach wood. It was twisted and gnarled, cute and the roses, nice and hearty, probably the fence is completely overgrown now. This one is growing at the entrance to the interurban trail.
