Jardin Botanique de Montreal
I'm not sure what this is, a type of poppy perhaps. Very interesting colors and the center doesn't look real.

Wow, is this fabulous or what? I'm thinking this is probably the most awesome flower I've ever seen. They grow in a hot house in Spokane at Manito Park. Lucky to see one.

Dahlia
Here's a shot by TLPhotography66. I like the deeper red tones at the base of the petal poms. A prize-winner for sure.
Golden Dahlia
Golden dahlia seen in the dahlia garden down the road near Taylor dock in Bellingham. There's everything from Yellow Hammer to Golden Dahlia, a prize garden.

Huge Dahlia
This dahlia is huge, bigger than a dinner plate. I love how the photo turned out with the blue of the sky behind it.
Sunflower
What a bright sunflower. The community garden has lots of sunflowers, some with seed heads as big as washtubs and the birds are going wild.
Pink Dahlia
I took this picture today in the Community Garden where I have a small plot and grow a few vegetables and lots of cosmos. For more about the community garden see http://thecommunitygardener.blogspot.com/
Rose is a Rose
Ah, this looks good enough to eat. The summer sun was hot and the roses were in full bloom at Manito Rose Garden. I saw the most lovely wedding there once. A great place for a wedding during the summer.

Yellow Cone Flower
I believe that the purple cone flower is Echinacia. A good remedy for colds an immune system supporter. For a field guide to wildflowers see Newcomb's Wildflower Guide
Western Wall Flower
Wild flowers are lush right now. The summer in the PNW hasn't been too dry and warm, so at higher elevations, the flowers are still blooming. Here is a lovely flower that grows locally.
Wallflower
Cheiranthus cheiri. A lovely yellow flower with clustered buds opening in a luscious spray. Good for the perenial garden.

Pansies
Althought this photo has been altered, I think the color is interesting and not out of the norm. My mother used to tell me a story about the pansy--a lady with beautiful skirts.

Cup O' Daisies
Sweet, the daisy, reminds me of a vintage tablecloth or a spring field. Easy to grow. Spread them through your perenials for lively accent.
White Rose
More closeup photography. This one is enhanced to a point of the petals becoming grainy, and yet, the flower is pure and delicate and wonderful to view.
New Dawn Rose
Closeup photography, dark background enhances the soft, velvety pink petals. Sweet smell, a mix of orange and vanilla and peach.
